Baltimore Solidarity Rally
Roxbury, Wednesday, April 29, 2015, 6:00 PM
1 Schroeder Plaza, Boston, MA 02120
This message is forwarded from Mass Action Against Police Violence.
Stand in solidarity with the protesters and people of Baltimore!
The government, the media, and other naysayers would put the onus of the destruction of property and violence on the backs of the protesters when in fact what has caused this disturbance is the years and decades of brutality and neglect against the people of this region. Until the government does something to address the wanton violence and impunity by the hands of the police against the people of this region what is happening Baltimore today is inevitable.
What is happening in Baltimore could happen anywhere. Justice denied is an act of war against the population and now the people have had enough and they are standing up and fighting back. Every lover of democracy and freedom must join this call. Join us in solidarity with Baltimore in front of the Boston Police headquarters for a rally and speak out as we demand:
- Indict the police that killed Freddie Gray now!
- Release the jailed protesters now!
- Drop the charges against the protesters now!
- End the state of emergency and curfew now!

Indict the police that killed Freddie Gray now! Coudnt agree more.
Release the jailed protesters now! People got arrested for breaking the law, not protesting. they need to be charged as much as the guilty cop that killed Freddie
Drop the charges against the protesters now! And drop the charges against the cop that killed Freddie? Guilty is guilty and the price has to be paid.
End the state of emergency and curfew now! The curfew was placed to protect the people. Why end it?
Think about the things that you are standing up for, and make sure they make sense. You have the power to lead people; use it wisely. You reasoning other than standing up to ensure the guilty police officer gets charged, doesn’t make sense. Unless people get arrested for just protesting, then there is nothing to complain about.
I am hard pressed to understand any of this. The individual officer or officers involved should be held accountable for their actions. Whether they acted accordingly or not, should determine the outcome. As in a court, unacceptable reaction behavior should not be tolerated in ant city or town throughout this great country. To protest is one thing. Thugs and those that insight riots, are wrong and responsible for the civil unrest we now have as the norm every time an incident occurs.everytime the grand jury speaks! Are we going to burn down another city. This is bullshit happening. Who the hell is Al Sharpton or anyone else defending the black asses of thugs. To hold hands with them is the same as lighting the first fire. At this point Whether you wear a suit or a ski mask…they are the same. Black lives don’t matter more than the white kids. Trust me , I live in Massachusetts. There is no question of what would happen here.. If white boys in a hoodie or mask acted out like freaking jerks. They would be brought down to the ground. To tolerate this any longer is against what America is about. As for the Black Lives Matters group. They are the biggest jerks of all. Sharpton and Co. Sucks.
Really
First and foremost: Clearly this problem is widespread. So to think that simply indicting these Baltimore officers will resolve anything after countless officers have been cleared, is ridiculous. Also people keep making generalities about the people of Baltimore. Yes there were individuals rioting, looting, etc but the majority of people there are not taking part in these acts. Plenty of people have been arrested for minor crimes and are being held unlawfully: haven’t had a bail hearing, deplorable conditions, disproportionate bail to degree of charged crime. To those on the other side who demand peaceful protests that they ignore and are appalled once frustration surmounts from a lack progress and belittle the entire movement. Take a moment to reflect on the simplicity of the goal, equality in the eyes of the law, and ask yourself why you think this is too much to ask and if you don’t believe this is a reality, leave your bubble immediately. It is mind boggling that people wouldn’t want the same resolution. Our communities can only benefit from oversight and reform in law enforcement. Everyone should be able to look at officers with trust and feel relief at an officers presence rather than fear and uncertainty. We are a long way from building that trust but the sooner we acknowledge the issue and deal with it the sooner we can move towards it. All lives matter.
Side note: If we want some real weight to throw around someone should start PACs for state and federal levels. Maybe then we will have more politicians and lawmakers on our side. There is a big election year coming up.
Here’s a thought, STOP BREAKING THE LAW! Stop the drug dealing & “Thuggery”. It’s as simple as that, problem solved!
You’re right! If certain cops would quit breaking law (i.e. murder/falsifying documents to cover it up) and all their thuggery that would definitely help solve things! I wasn’t aware of the officers dealing drugs but I can’t say it’s a surprise given all that we know now.
